The BC curriculum is a guiding document for all teachers hoping to teach in British Columbia. I appreciate this most recent curriculum and the way that it is less content driven and allows space for teachers to organize lessons according to student inquiry. I also understand that the curriculum can change over time and I hope that any future changes are made in a positive and democratic way. This is crucial for me as the curriculum is a document that holds power to influence society by guiding teachers and students with their academic, social and vocational knowledge and abilities.
